This morning I have been viewing footage of London fashion week on you tube. I really like all the bright colours and metalics that are coming in for spring/summer.
My favourite is all the exotic prints on maxi dresses and the smock tops that have been made to look like giant playing cards.
I also really liked all the strange hats, in particular the one which was like a 3 dimensional fairground.

This afternoon I have been looking for images that I find inspiring for my photo shoot that I will be doing based around my Apocalyptic collection.
I looked at other peoples fashion shoots with a similar theme and backgrounds to consider for location.
My collection is A/W evening wear for the High end of the high street. I want to portray a tribal member trying to look their best in a post apocalyptic world.
I also looked at make up and hair ideas that will fit with my futuristic apocalyptic tribal member.

I looked at the hair and make up for a Tv show called The tribe as it was set in a futuristic apocalyptic tribal world. I found all of this very interesting and I have some great ideas for my photo shoot. I also looked at some clips of the show for more insight into how the world would look and the people in it.

Whilst watching some clips on youtube from America's next top model (the photo shoots) I came across a apocalypse inspired photo shoot which I found really interesting. I love anything a bit darker and this is right up my street. The imagination is limitless in a scenario like this. I really liked the image of Britany, with the complete destruction around her yet she still has the vacume cleaner in her hand like she should be cleaning; the blood and bite on her neck says shes infected and is some sort of zombie but her brain is not completely gone. Such a story behind this image.

In my first year one of my first projects was to design a top for Top Shop. We had to pick a theme and research it; I chose peacocks and peacock feathers. I looked at the shapes inside the feather and the shapes of the tail and head-dress.
One of the final projects we did in year one was Introduction to portfolio presentation; we had to use our Top Shop top project to do our portfolio.

Here it is I hope you like it.
