During the Summer holidays we were the given research homework to do for the forthcoming academic year, so I decided to visit the Manchester costume gallery for inspiration.
I found each era full of inspiration and I left the museum full of enthusiasm and eager to continue.
I took some photos at the Museum and thought I would share them with you.

The structure on the bust area and back of this dress is amazing and one of my favourites.

This dress is made of rubber and blunt nails. from a distance it looked like some sort of fur. It reminds me of something Lady Gaga would wear.

In the hat collection this stood out for me. I think the symbolism behind the safety pin keeping the mouth shut is brilliant.
