I finished my second toile and garment for the fashion show in June. I thought I would share my journey with you from the pattern creating to the final garment and everything in-between.

As well as looking at apocalyptic fashion I looked into theories and predictions of the December 2012 end of the world. Here are just a few-

As well as this project we have been working on our portfolio and competitions. I entered a competition which was aimed at anti fur and organic fashion. I finished my first garment today for the fashion show so I though. t I would share my images with you. I haven't sewn on my AB crystals yet though but that's a task for tomorrow as I'll be doing it by hand. I'm sewing them all along the top of the feathers near the neck band. The complete finished result will be fantastic.

The lost future-

The lost future if my favourite film out of these because humans have gone back to complete basic survival, live in tribes, dress in animal skin and look like a native tribe. The tribes I started to look at are very similar.
I liked watching the film for flow of fabrics and ease of movement. I got a lot of ideas from this movie.

I've just completed my first pattern and toile for the short feather dress so I thought I would share a few photos from my journey so far.

I really like these 2 designs and I have picked them for my 2 final designs. The inspiration for both these designs came from an image of an Indian chief in 1908 and an image of a futuristic tribal member. Both of the images have a collar of feathers fanning outward and around the neck. Although both images are very different in their own right; they both show importance and authority. This Fanning feathers of the neckline stood out and I played around with this idea to create the importance and authority through my own work.
