What would we wear in a post apocalyptic world? fashion would be a necessity rather than a luxury. That's not to say we couldn't be individual and express ourselves.

Here is an image I found while looking on google images, there was no information with it but I really liked it. i like the heavy stitching, mix of fabric and patchwork look. This could be the future look of fashion in an apocalyptic world.

As well as looking at futuristic and current tribal looks I researched into the native tribes of the American west.
A photographer named Edward Curtis photographed a lot of tribe members in the American west between the late 1800's and early 1900's. I used a lot of his work as inspiration and insight into clothing and life in this time era.
Here are a few links to other peoples blogs using his work and his official site.

Here are a few images I found inspiring from Edward Curtis photography collection.

For comparison I thought I would put a few images of other peoples current tribal looks near the above images.

Hi my name is Rebecca-Jane, I am doing a degree in Fashion design and one of our projects involves us  designing a capsule collection for our end of year project.
In my group of 3 we decided on the theme post apocalyptic fashion, and the title is "Evolution of the tribe".
It's based on the idea of tribes, the army and the human instinct of survival. Fashion/clothing in a post apocalyptic world would be a necessity rather than choice!
On my blog I will share with you my ideas, thoughts and designs as well as as my finished garments and everything in-between.
